My mum and my sister live in Portland, Oregon. Actually my sister lives in Beaverton and my mum lives in Helvetia, but close enough. I lived in Portland briefly after college and I have to say I prefer Seattle to Portland. But I can’t argue that Portland is fairly beautiful on a clear day when views of Mount Hood are to be had.
I have already told you about my favorite American made cabinet company, Canyon Creek of Monroe, Washington. Well I discovered a new cabinet company that employs members of our extended American family to make their products and their production facility is located in Portland. According to the website, Closets Daily (Can you believe there is a website about closets?), the IMBUE cabinet line was recently launched. Hammer & Hand and bright designlab, two Portland firms, are starting to produce the European style cabinets in Portland. So if you are planning a kitchen remodel, check out Canyon Creek or IMBUE cabinets. You will get a great look for your kitchen and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your purchase will provide employment for members of our extended American family working in Portland. Sadly, there is a good chance that your IMBUE cabinets may be crafted by Oregon Duck fans. Well, you can’t have everything.
Man, are those ugly uniforms!

Seattle is the best for sure!!!
