All American Home

As most of you know, Diane Sawyer and ABC News began a great series last promoting the sale of Made in America products.  One of the features ABC News did introduced the country to Anders Lewendal, a builder in Bozeman, Montana who is building homes utilizing 100% American made products.  I mentioned this show to a buddy of mine, Jim Granlund, and he just smiled and told me that he works for a company, Canyon Creek Cabinet Company, that is making wonderful cabinets right in Monroe, Washington just south of Seattle.

Canyon Creek began life in 1981 as Cascade Cabinet Company, but adopted its current moniker in 1995.  Canyon Creek makes affordable custom frameless and framed style cabinetry for kitchens, baths, home offices, entertainment centers, and other rooms in the home.  Since Canyon Creek cabinetry is a custom product, you can have virtually unlimited combinations of door styles and finishes.

There are a couple of Canyon Creek products that I think are very cool.  First, we have a home office, but also need to use the room as a guest bedroom when Grandma Boo comes up several times a year for visits from her farm outside of Portland.  The solution?  The Canyon Creek Wall Bed.  Canyon Creek offers a full or queen size bed that folds into a wall cabinet system that is only two feet deep.

The other product I want to buy is the Canyon Creek Pantry Larder Cabinet.  Given the postage stamp sized kitchen I have, storage is at a premium.  The Canyon Creek Pantry Larder has a place for everything.

Canyon Creek’s cabinets are manufactured in its 250,000 square feet factory in Monroe.  By equipping your home with Canyon Creek cabinets you are getting a great product for you and your immediate family to use and enjoy, and you are also providing employment for members of your extended American family in my backyard.  That is an American win-win for sure and an easy choice to make. Far easier than getting my wife and I to agree on the style of knobs we want on our kitchen cabinets!
