I had to clean the kitchen windows last weekend. They were so dirty I could barely see through them. So, I went down to the basement and collected my window cleaning equipment which is made here in the States. It is made by a great company, Ettore, which has a rich history.
Ettore was founded in 1936 by Ettore Steccone, an immigrant who emigrated from Italy to the U.S. in 1896. Ettore became a window washer, but found the squeegee he had to use unsatisfactory. So like so many Americans, he decided to invent a better one. Ettore squeegees have great rubber edges that make window washing a snap.
I have had my Ettore Squeegee for years and it works like a charm. Ettore makes lots of other cleaning products aside from squeegees and its website has lots of helpful info on how to wash windows flawlessly. But for me, the thing I like most about Ettore squeegees is that they are made by members of our extended American family living and working in Oakland, California. What could be better than that!
