Without proper amounts of sleep, a bad mood and shoddy performance is virtually guaranteed.
The amount of sleep humans need varies on their age. Teenagers need at least nine hours of sleep, while kiddos under twelve need between 10-11. Fellas like myself need between 7-9 hours of sleep.
Nothing so guarantees a bad night of sleep for me as a crummy mattress. That is why staying at hotels is always a dodgy proposition. I slept on a hotel mattress last year that seemed to consist solely of billiard balls.
I think we would all sleep better on a mattress that was made by members of our extended American family. Well, if you live in the Northeast, all you need to do to buy a mattress made in the U.S. is to pay a visit to The Mattress Factory, located in the fine hamlet of Fanwood, New Jersey. Fanwood, as you know, is the home of boxing legend Gerry Cooney. Anyway, the Mattress Factory makes the ultimate “Made in the USA” mattress.
The story of the Mattress Factory is the story of the Shovlin family. For over thirty years, the Shovlins have been building mattresses with only American made raw materials. Current owner Ron Shovlin is continuing the fine family tradition. Unlike a lot of mattress stores, the Mattress Factory custom builds your mattress based on your needs. But regardless of what mattress style you get, you will rest easy knowing that the springs, batting and other things that go into the mattress are all made by members of our extended American family. Way to go Ron! Now all I have to figure out is how to get a mattress from Fanwood to Seattle. Sounds like a roadtrip!
