The most recent entrant into this field is MSNBC.
Over the last few weeks I have seeing lots of Made in the USA stories on the MSNBC blog. Now while I think my blog posts are better, it may be the case that more people are reading the MSNBC blog than my blog. Just a wild guess.
If you add the MSNBC blog to your list of regularly read blogs, you will learn about lots of great firms making stuff in this country, and lots of interesting facts about American made products.
Given my age, I grew up getting all of my news and information from mainstream media outlets like ABC, NBC and CBS. Those days are definitely over. But mainstream media outlets do still have the resources and the access to do a good job on promoting the products made by members of our extended American family. And as I have said before, that promotion of U.S. made products is absolutely essential since increased sales of U.S. made consumer goods will directly translate into more jobs for people in this country.
Economists state that if we buy $100 billion in domestically produced goods as opposed to imports, we can create a million jobs in our domestic manufacturing sector. One million jobs! That ain’t peanuts.
Reading the MSNBC blog posts on a regular basis has given me some real food for thought about “Made in the USA” and it can do so for you too.
The first MSNBC post I read featured ten products still made in this country. While I have already featured a lot of the ten products in posts in the past, I am so glad MSNBC is introducing these iconic American products to so many people. I already own several of the products on MSNBC’s list, although I don’t think I will be in the market for any Spanx slimming undergarments given my already girlish figure.
So, please consider adding the MSNBC blog to your list of regularly read blogs. And after reading it, if you like it, let your friends know about it. And finally, please let your friends know about this blog if you think they would enjoy reading what I am blathering on about every day. If you read my blog now and again and haven’t already subscribed, please consider doing so. It’s easy. Just click on the “Sign me up” button on the right side of the blog page.
