He’s onto something!

I came across an interesting article written by a young business person making clothing in L.A.  Nicholas Ventura has founded the apparel firm Youth Movement in L.A. and has discovered that having members of our extended American family living in L.A. make his clothing makes good business sense for the five reasons he discusses in the Post piece.

I don’t know squat about making clothing, but Nicholas’ fifth reason is music to my ears.  Buying American means creating jobs for those in this country that just want a job so they can provide for their family.  Buying Youth Movement apparel creates jobs for members of our extended American family living in L.A., just like buying Wigwam socks creates jobs for members of our extended American family living in Sheboygan.  So the next time you need a t-shirt, shoes, or socks, consider the impact your purchase can have creating jobs in this country.  I hope you will join me, and countless other Americans who make American made consumer goods their default choice when shopping.
