I love to read and am always struggling with my dim table lamps. Well it appears the answer to my problem is at hand, and it just happens to be made by members of our extended American family. I recently got turned on to the Heron LED light, pictured above, produced by the LittleFootprint Lighting Company. The Heron is produced in California using recycled plastic. LED lights last for a very long time and use a fraction of the electricity of incandescent lights. LittleFootprint Lighting is the brainchild of two brainy women from California, Nancy Wahl-Scheurich and Cecelia Lobdill. Both Nancy and Cecelia were working for a company making LED products back in 2009, but figured they could make even greener LED lights and voila, LittleFootprint was born.
So, if that old crappy reading light you have has finally given up the ghost, replace it with a Heron LED light. You won’t have to strain your eyes any longer, your wallet and the environment will thank you, and your will purchase will also lighten the spirits of members of our extended American family who make the Heron in Santa Cruz. Sort of an electrifying thought don’t you think?
